10 - Shine
Spare a thought for your normie friends
You’re out here redefining experience
Taking everything the world told you
And throwing it right back.
They’re sitting around
There waiting for the world
to tell them anything
At all.
They’ve never been told they don’t belong
They’ve never been hated or shunned
But they’re part of such an indistinct community
They probably haven’t even realized it’s there.
All they see is
You,
Finding yourself, exploring life, resetting boundaries
Doing and feeling more than they think they've ever felt.
They don’t see that they belong anywhere
Even when they fit in everywhere
While you’re burning through the clouds
They’re just getting lost in them.
So take a normie under your wing
Tell them you like them
Point out how they fit in effortlessly
Or they’ll chase after someone who does.
Odds are high that
Someone
Will not teach them to let you
Shine.
11 - Auburn Haired Woman
Don’t turn your back on the auburn haired woman
She’s got ways you can’t understand.
She’ll leave a mark on your heart you can’t handle
And walk on to another man.
Whether you trust her or whether you don’t
The auburn haired woman won’t care,
She’ll take you for everything you’d ever want
And leave all your trust lying bare.
Don’t underestimate the auburn haired woman,
She doesn’t know how to not hurt.
It’s all that she’s known through her life down to now
She won’t be changing what’s worked.
So never lay trust on the auburn haired woman,
It’s trust she will never return.
Wait… what do you mean that’s no auburn haired woman?
And that I’ve been dating a broom?
12
What have you done to
make room for this one last soul
you speak of loving?
